Meditation and Techniques to Know Thyself
FAQ's:
What comes after public lectures?
For those who are interested, after a public lecture series, weekly classes can continue and go deeper into the topics that have been introduced. The teachings are very practical, experiential and not merely theoretical. Each class usually includes a lecture and practice or suggestions to verify for yourself the "truth" in what you're learning.
Where do these teaching come from?
The Gnostic teachings, Gnostic Anthropology or "Gnosis", as taught in Gnostic centers throughout the world today, comes from the writings and practices of a modern day teacher, Samael Aun Weor, who synthesized the precepts of the philosophers, mystics, and adepts of all times into an integrated and comprehensive system of knowledge and instruction. Gnosis, as unveiled by Samael Aun Weor, is a synthesis of all the ancient mystery schools.
What is the attendance policy?
Once you sign up for a lecture series, to get the most out of the classes, and as they build on each other, consistent weekly attendance is encouraged. Consistency of attendance is required in order to move to the next set of lectures.
If you decide you do not want to continue with the classes at any point, there is no further obligations. We may contact you for clarification but if we do not hear from you, you will not hear from us. This is out of respect for your privacy.
What is the goal of these teachings?
The ultimate goal of Gnostic Anthropology is the happiness of all human beings without distinction. We teach tools to experience our own inner truth or "gnosis" so that we may find the path that reunites us back to source. The aim of all centers is to share Gnostic Anthropology or "Gnosis" with anyone who is interested, regardless of race, sex, religious background, occupation, etc.
How much does it cost?
Having no monetary price set on them, the Gnostic teachings can thus be considered to be “free.” All of our instructors are volunteers and do not receive any monetary compensation for their services, however there are costs (rental space, handouts, supplies, etc.) involved in running the classes and your donations are gratefully accepted.
The suggested donation for public lectures is between $4 and $10 per class. Active members donate monthly according to need and the number of students enrolled. However, as with the public lectures, no student will be turned away for choosing not to donate.
Where else can I find these teachings?
The contemporary Gnostic Movement has spread rapidly since it began in the 1950’s in Columbia. Gnostic centers can be found in many countries throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa. See our "about us" page for a list of centers in the USA.
